Ebro: TMC's Rallie wins Derby
TMC's Rallie held off Erica Harrell Saturday to win the 48th running of the Ebro Derby on the final night of the 2002 live meet.
TMC's Rallie went box to wire, winning in 36.20 seconds. Oki Karrie Okie ran third.
Ebro will simulcast the Night of Stars Saturday night. It features 15 greyhound races from 15 different tracks, and each race will have superfecta wagering. The national event benefits greyhound adoptions.

JU's Williams named Player of the Week
Former Mosley standout Charlton Williams was named Division I-AA Mid-Major Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday. Williams is a junior free safety at Jacksonville University and helped the Dolphins erase a 14-point deficit in a 24-21 victory over Charleston Southern Saturday. Williams recorded seven tackles against the Buccaneers, grabbing a career-best two interceptions in the win.
Midgets down Raiders in youth football
The Park Pines Midgets defeated the Lynn Haven Raiders 51-0 late Monday to finish the season undefeated. The Midgets (8-0) were led by running back Nick Smith, who rushed for 197 yards and four touchdowns. Dwayne Tatum added 115 yards and a score while quarterback Michael Summerow threw a pair of touchdowns to David Holland. Jerrel Wade led the defense with two sacks and C.J. Brantley managed two interceptions.
PCST second at Wiregrass invitational
The Panama City Swim Team placed second out of 14 teams at last weekend's Wiregrass Peanut Invitational in Dothan, Ala. Brandon Crain and Richard Greer were the winners in the boys age 11-12 division while Chip Brown was runner-up. Christopher Duncan was the boys 10-under champion while John Greer was second. In girls 10-under, Carlee McDonald placed second with 67 points. Others on the team included Carson, Cody and Drew Bronnenberg, Kevin Faulhaber, Joey and Savana Fuciarelli, Staci Lehman, Mary McDermott, Jamie McDonald, Katelyn Morrow, Rachael and Ryan Roland, Eve Schnell, Stephanie Stidham and Allison Troia.
