Faulhaber shines at Southeasterns
TUSCALOOSA, Ala.
Panama City Swim Team’s Kevin Faulhaber secured a pair of top-10 finishes at the Southeastern Long Course Swimming Championships at the University of Alabama on Friday and Saturday.
Faulhaber, competing in the 11-12 Boys division, placed fourth in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 28.96 seconds. He complemented that effort with an eighth-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 1:04.64. Both marks garnered All-America recognition.
He placed 11th in the 100 backstroke (1:16.24), 15th in the 200 individual medley (2:45.58) and 16th in the 400 free (5:07.43). He will finish his weekend today competing in the 200 free and the 50 backstroke.
Carlee McDonald, participating in the 11-12 Girls age group, posted two 25th-place finishes in the 50 free (31.33) and 100 backstroke (1:22.52), respectively. She placed 27th in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:23.44.
McDonald races in the 50 backstroke and the 50 butterfly today.
