Criteria to be on the team: When you bring your child for the 1st time to the team, our coaches will do an assessment of your child's swimming level. It is important to understand that PCST is a competitive swim team and is not set up to provide swim lessons. While your child doesn't have to know all of the strokes, they will be required to swim the length of the pool unassisted and demonstrate the concept of swimming with their face in the water, arm movement and some rhythmic breathing. If your child is not yet to this point, our coaches will recommend that they complete some additional swim lessons and then return to PCST. |
